Oooh! I've never tried to do it on purpose, but whenever one of my microfics happens to hit 50 words exactly, it's like accidentally stumbling into story nirvana. I may have to try this on a few random dates and make an issue out of it. Thanks so much for reading and for the idea!
I was thinking that the footnote seemed unneeded for gubbins when you defined it in the story, chuckled at that joke. The narrator of the second short sure has some interesting opinions.
Yeah, I wasn't going to include the footnote (despite it feeling wrong to skip over one) and then realized I had an opportunity for an extra goof.
I enjoy an oddball narrator from time to time and these shorts are definitely the place for me to do it. Anything too long and I think I'd either risk losing the voice or getting sick of it. Thanks for reading!
I for sure thought the joke was dead once I had to explain it. 😂 But I kept it anyway, because I still liked it and I figured statistically, *someone else* would. Thanks for being that someone!
I love those Twitter prompts! And if you shoot for 50 words along with the 280-character and specific word prompt of the day? A trifecta challenge

It's been so nice chatting with you! Thanks for the share!
Yes, likewise! I've got your new story pulled up to read soon. Looking forward to it! :)
I hope you like it!

Love it. Great issue!
Thanks for reading! 😊
This kind of short fiction is my favorite! Love these little pieces!
Thanks Claire! I love that I can have a silly or experimental thought and use it to put together something small others can enjoy.
I really like the word of the day play in your stories. You defiantly made it a fun read. Now I have to go eat a bowl of ice cream : )
Thank you! Any minute now I'm expecting a Ben and Jerry's rep to comment and offer me a sponsorship. 😂
Always nice to increase my vocabulary knowledge. Bibliophobia and abibliophobia, yes NOW that is hilarious 😂
